WHAT: AAA East Central, WV State Police, and Bridgeport Police will host a news conference to highlight the Operation C.A.R.E. (Combined Accident Reduction Effort) campaign. With a projected increase in Memorial Day and summer travel, the agencies will remind drivers of the importance of staying alert, driving safely, and obeying the law.
The Operation C.A.R.E. campaign will mark the increased efforts by law enforcement to combat speeding, aggressive driving, distracted driving, and DUI during the Memorial Day weekend and in to the summer.
Photo Opportunities: To highlight the campaign’s efforts, police cruisers, the DUI Command Vehicle, the Commercial Enforcement Unit, motorcycles, and K-9 units will be on-hand for this media event.
