Two hotels have proven once again that they are Norwalk’s hospitality “gems,” according to AAA East Central. Georgian Manor Inn – B & B and The Victorian Lady have earned the AAA Four Diamond Award for excellent service, and opulent décor.
“Travelers can rest easy knowing that Four Diamond hotels consistently exceed the expectations of AAA inspectors,” said Jim Lehman, president of AAA East Central. “These establishments are committed to providing every guest with a personalized experience and attentive service in comfortable, high quality surroundings.”
Hotels at the Four Diamond level, just 6.1 percent of AAA Inspected & Approved hotels, are an exclusive group. They must be refined and stylish with upscale physical attributes, extensive amenities and a high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail.
Area hotels receiving the AAA Four Diamond Rating include:
- Georgian Manor Inn-B & B, 123 West Main Street, a Four Diamond hotel that has maintained this celebrated designation consecutively since 2000.
This lovely getaway offers manicured grounds and Victorian-themed decor throughout, including the spacious public areas. The knowledgeable and attentive owners go above and beyond with regard to service.
- The Victorian Lady, 175 West Main Street, a Four Diamond hotel that has maintained this celebrated designation consecutively since 2012.
The unique and elegant guest rooms feature luxurious bedding with period furnishings and artwork throughout. Some rooms have a fireplace, covered porch and/or deep-soaking tub.
These establishments are part of a select group of hotels in North America. This year, there are 1,676 Four Diamond hotels.
ABOUT AAA DIAMOND RATINGS
For more than 80 years, AAA has used professional inspectors to conduct anonymous, in-person property evaluations. AAA offers the only rating system using comprehensive, on-site professional hotel and restaurant evaluations using published guidelines weighted by member priorities. With a far greater inventory than any other rating entity, AAA’s rating system covers the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.
The AAA inspectors who assign these ratings have a wide range of hospitality experience – their resumes include stints as hotel managers and food and beverage experts – that gives them an authoritative perspective. Inspectors provide an unmatched first-person, on-site view of emerging trends, which includes the continuing evolution of technology to elevate the guest experience.
Travelers can find Diamond Rated establishments and inspector insight in AAA’s trip planning products: the AAA Mobile app, the online TripTik Travel Planner mapping and routing tool, searchable online AAA Travel Guides and AAA TourBook guides available to members at AAA offices.
AAA East Central is a not-for-profit association with 81 local offices in Kentucky, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia serving 2.7 million members. News releases are available at news.eastcentral.aaa.com. Follow us on Twitter and Facebook.
